Hey everyone. Google webmaster tools says like 100 links to our site are 404 because they are going to a http://stealthwd.ca/index.html. The thing is, they actually AREN'T going to index.html, they are just stealthwd.ca. I have manually checked a bunch of them to verify.
Any idea why google would throw the index.html onto the end? And ideas to resolve this? Thanks.

.htaccess is probably the easiest way to handle this if your site supports it.
should redirect all 404 errors to your root folder for example.
Ideally all index pages (.php,.htm,.html,.asp, etc) should be forwarded to the appropriate location via .htaccess and Google assumes this is done.

Hi,
I checked your website and you index url is http://stealthwd.ca/index.php which is rendering the complete proper home page of your website.
I think, you have place a wrong link (http://stealthwd.ca/index.html) somewhere in your website. Check your webmaster account to see the page from where the Google has crawled this link.
Hope this helps,
