yeh, perhaps, i just don't know anyone that is both, a programmer and a designer, it's sort of like a team effort thing, the designer can come up with layout, and such (if talking about web design) but may not be able to implement it, but the programmer can take that layout and make it work (as long as they don't have to do the graphics and such).

it looks kool with the snowman, but it doesnt really stand out as what woule be the navigation bar right away. maybe make it point out that those are the links.

the buttons were changed, they went from floating gradient balls (no pun intended) to the snowman.
