If the world is ending in two years, I'm not programming shit. I'm going to go places and see things and visit people. If the world is ending, there ARE more important things than code (shocking, I know).

the world ends in 2012? NO MATTER!!! because we are just at 1389 now :P

so, I'm going to continue my life style as it was... loooots of time till 2012 :D

I'm getting tired of the Mayan calender. The Mayan calender declares that the world has ended every 20 years since the calender was originally created, and- if you want to be accurate- 2012 is a reinterpretation of the calender which was supposed to predict the world ending in 2004, then in 2007, then in 2008. Maybe the world did end and I just missed it, but I'm pretty sure it didn't and we don't have anything to worry about.

That said, I'd attempt to make a calender virus which predicts the world ending in another 7,000 years in the hopes that when alien palaeontologists find our charred remains after we end all life on our planet, they will be able to interpret it and waste their time worrying about us predicting the end of THEIR world too.

..I would probably program something... I program when I am depressed, and because I program I have no friends or social life, which depresses me, which makes me program more... its a vicious cycle and the end of the world is about the only thing that will end it.

:) to be honest though -- it is a dumb question. If we KNEW the world was going to end one would be obligated to do everything one could to either stop it, or find a way to survive it. That is what I would do in whatever way I could. I suppose it would suck to have some kind of Cassandra dilemma - knowing the end is neigh but not being able to get anyone to believe you.
