.swf file in dreamweaver cs3

Hi, I know nothing about web design and seem to muddle my way through things, but this time i can't. I have insertes a .swf file into dreamweaver that i made in adobe flash. When i press play in dreamweaver it plays. When i open my page in the browser all i see is the skin and no video. Please can some one help.

How you placing it into dreamweaver? What code has been produced? Just want to make sure its going in correctly and the settings are correct.

Hi, I also am having the same problem with trying to insert a .swf (captivate) file into DWCS3. It plays just fine in DW but no luck in browser. My web page is XHTML Transitional 1.0. I did go back and change some of the language (embed to object) still no luck.

When inserting a Flash video into a webpage, you also need to upload the FLV file (and at the same relative path specified in the SWF file). Otherwise, it will only display the skin, because it cannot locate the FLV file. You can find out the relative path by opening the original FLA file.

Thanks for your input I believe we have narrowed the problem down to some sort of path problem. I'm not sure how I managed to mess up the link paths but I seem to.
