So I made an application that uses the exposed XML to view users. I can't wait until an API is released to make something more robust. I intend to create addons for the three mejor IDEs to directly submit code from the IDE to the DIC website.

Anyways here's the app I made. Thanks for looking at it. :P

That looks nice stapia.gutierrez.

I'll try to make something but I'm almost certain I won't be producing anything worthwhile.

Awesome competition, I'll try to make something.

But I have a few questions regarding this:

Quote

7) You agree to provide the source code for your application to Dream.In.Code and attach it with your entry. An entry without source code is considered incomplete and is not eligible for a prize.

Is the source code used in some way or published? How about the source code of third party libraries? Or how about if I have a library where I have collected some methods/classes which are used in almost each of my applications, do I have to provide the source for that library too?

And did I miss the part which said where we submit the entries? Do we post them into this thread or do we send them to someone?

I guess you just post the source code of your application and state what libraries you're using without posting the source code of said libraries.

The feed for the C# forum is not well-formed. I get an error when trying to parse it in .Net using the Xdocument.Parse method.

Opening the link in IE gives this error...

it's something with the description of the C# Programmers sub-forum....

Is there a way that we can take a topic's ID and link directly to the topic? The "URL"s in the XML are to the corresponding XML feeds for that topic. What if I wanted to put a hyperlink that navigated to the forum topic? I can't seem to figure out the format of the URL.

For this thread...

http://www.dreaminco...atadatarowview/

I tried this...

http://www.dreaminco...ms/topic/180544

but it just navigates to the forum home(assuming this is a fall back for an incorrect forum link).

Any ideas?

EDITED: Nevermind, figured it out.

I want to try, but I'll need to learn XML first. By the way how can we show dynamic data like that?
I mean there was a <activeusers></activeusers> tag in the XML page. But how does it know who is online?
EDIT : Got It!

Hope you don't mind that I used your program as a bit of inspiration and coded something along the same lines in php. The little I have working so far can be seen at this link. I attached the two main php classes that do most of the work if anyone wants to take a look at them.

Attached File(s)

It's kind of hard to create what I am doing since the forum XML feeds are bad. The C# and VB.Net forums fail.
