I want my blog (alphaot.com) to show up first in Google when people search for my name. Are there any steps I can follow for this to happen?
I don't want Facebook, LinkedIn or even Stackoverflow to show up first. My blog should show up as first.
Any guidance?

Moved to SEO and advertising since what you are asking is actually an SEO question.
As for advice, make sure your name is in strategic places within your blog to capitalize on your name being the keywords. Example, name in the page title of your blog, in the description meta tag, appear in the content of blog entries as well as just capitalize on inbound links from your other online sites... link facebook to your blog, linkedin to your blog etc.
The goal is to make your name synonymous with your blog. Your name should be your brand.

I strongly recommend going through this .pdf by Google explaining in detail how to optimize your website for Google search by increasing your site's relevancy. Most of this knowledge carries over to other search engines too.

It's kind of a pain in the ass to do but it'll get the job done.
