That's a very broad question.

Maybe you can define a 'report' - what does one use/need?

If Crystal Reports supports COM you can use PHP's COM support.

Most of those questions are questions you need to be asking the vendor selling the product, we here probably have zero idea how their licensing schemes work. You're going to have to talk with the customer service of the components you're looking to purchase, and ask them all these questions.

If you cannot find a customer support to speak with then you should start getting a bad feeling in the pit of your gut as far as the company and their products they're trying to sell you.

That's what mahcuz meant by a very broad question. We can help you better if you explain more thoroughly what your goals are, & about your project.

PHP is a scripting language. That means that you can use it to write a program to do all the reporting you want, if you know how and you have the time/money to do it. If you buy something already written and possibly in another language then you need to talk to the company you buy it from. We can't help you with that.

If you aren't looking to write the code yourself then you're in the wrong place. This forum is for people who need help with writing php code.

I had came across this site and I think this company named 'Windward Reports' will help you a lot in PHP Reporting.

They provides a complete enterprise level reporting and document generation engine. With Windward you use Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint as your layout tool.

Their Template design is super-fast and you can quickly & easily do things that are impossible with other reporting and docgen systems.
