I was wondering why the member tag didn't work anymore :P

I'm too poor to afford $60 video games. I've waited for FF13 to come out since they hinted at it, and I still don't have it. :(

Promoting piracy isn't bad if the user still buys the game to support the company regardless.

FTFY

I ... agree. Though I do not condone pirating video games and I'm limited to what software I will "try before I buy".

When I heard that it was going to lack LAN and be in three seperate installments I was pretty miffed. After playing the game, I have come to the conclusion that its worth the money, even without the Zerg and Protoss campaign. Bliz added unique units that are only in the sp campaign. The story line is pretty decent and the end leaves you geeked up for the next installment.

I remember playing the original for the first time. I read the "manual" which also had the lore for the three races before I even touched the game. Good memories.

Well, I guess it isn't a good idea to voice my opinions outside of the Caffeine Lounge, lest I suffer for exercising my freedom of speech...(*AHEM* xclite, Magixion, macosxnerd101). Doesn't this belong in the caffeine lounge anyways?

Freedom of speech is welcome, but keep in mind piracy and actions/items similar in nature are against the site's TOS.

Okay. So why am I penalized for something that isn't touched on in the TOS, but the "Keep it PG" rating is broken by various members, including mods, without consequence?(at least, I didn't find anything on piracy/illegal activity) I'm not trying to bash here; I'm somewhat confused as to where enforcement is given.

Profanity is funny, piracy is not.

blixna_waka Maybe you should read the TOS once again that way you dont take this any further
Well it's right here in Dream.In.Code TOS:

Quote

Threats: You agree that you will not use any of Dream.In.Code's website features to post any material which (a) is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law, (B) infringes any third-party intellectual property or publicity/privacy rights, © contains any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information, and (d) promotes piracy.

As far as your freedom of speech argument:

Quote

Freedom of Speech: You agree that "freedom of speech" does not apply to DREAMINCODE.NET as an individualy owned website. Although the constitution of the US guarantees that "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech", Dream.In.Code is not Congress. The TOS/Guidelines of this website governs the behaviors and activities of the members. If you choose not to follow the guidelines agreed to during registration, the result is a disabling of your account.

And we might as well throw this one in as well

Quote

Public Disagreements with Administration/Staff or Guidelines: You agree that if you disagree with Dream.In.Code website policy or action of a staff member, you will not post public arguments or disagreements nor attempt to petition the owner/administration to change policy through posts, polls, email, PM or any other service found within the Dream.In.Code Website. If you disagree, you may respectfully email the owner of Dream.In.Code. The owner does not endorse or recommend any of the opinions or ideas contributed by its users. However, The owner permits others to make judgments about your Messages.

You haven't really been penalized (in terms of moderation action). If the community doesn't care for a post they have the right to vote it down and vice versa. If you have further questions feel free to PM me.
