So I'm graduating soon and I'm curious how long it took you all to get a job after graduating? Someone told me at least a year. I would like to know if this is realistic. I will have a 2 year degree in web development (php, java, javascript, html, css, etc). If you went to college it would be awesome if you could answer these questions:
1. do you have a 2 or 4 year degree (and what was your major)?
2. how long did it take you to get a job (and approx. what year was this)?
3. what state do you live in?

2.) I got a job while I was in college.

2 year degree
Spent 3 months looking for a job, decided to go to school for bachelors degree, did that for one semester and didn't like it and went back on the job hunt for 4 1/2 months.

It was almost a year from when I got my 2 year degree and my job but really only 7 1/2 months actively looking.

Nobody can really tell you how long it will take since the markets are different all over the country.

I found my job a couple of weeks after graduating high school. Took almost a year to get in though Paperwork ftl!

I am a full-time student working on my bachelor's degree in computer engineering. I don't know about the US, but over here, engineering programs take you 5 years to finish, even though my university is German and it should take me only 4 years, but in that last year i will do my pre-masters. I got that job one month ago anyway and I'm working full time, when the new semester kicks in, me and the other guys will work after 6 only since we are all still students. But yea i wanna save some money for PhD, a PhD is a must for me.
