Could you be a bit more specific as to what you're wanting?

i am an intern and i have build an mfc project- socket programming in vc++, it works fine and my mentor wants the executable program of my program. when i do the demos, i use the visual studio and start it in the debug mode. in the project folder, there is the project.exe file in the debug folder but i think it uses some files that are created while the debugging process. All in all, i want to have the sacredsocket.exe program and upload it in my usb stick and run it in some other computer. How can i do this?

Switch the project to "release" mode instead of "debug" and it should work.

if you need help doing this (it's usually straight-forward, a drop-down or something), please ask.

of course you have to build the project in release mode again.

when compiling a project in debug mode it relies on a few debugging DLL's. Release mode will strip off those DLL's do give a clean executable

Are you using Visual Studio? If you are then Visual Studio has a setup and deployment package that would let you install the program on the target machine. I'm not sure if this is what you mean in your original question.

It's not the best choice if you are wanting a standalone program.
