Hi guys,
I am an amateur J2ME Programmer and would like to know if there are GUI designing tools for J2ME Apps ?
Suggest me an IDE/Editor/etc for J2ME Development that allows to design Forms,Canvas,TextField and all GUI Components for J2ME Apps like the NETBEANS that allows to design GUI for JavaSE ???
Name of IDE/Editors/Tools and links for downloads would be great.
Thanx.

I believe NetBeans offers a similar option for J2ME, but I advocate against using GUI Builders in Java because they produce so much excess code in a manner that makes it impossible for humans to maintain. It's decent for prototyping designs, but that's it. There are plenty of posts on this in the Java forum, if you want to check them out.

Click File->New File and choose either Visual MIDlet or Visual Design in the Netbeans IDE.
Use version 6.7 or later.
Use version 6.7 or later.

Till now i have used Eclipse IDE. Is this GUI Designing feature available in Eclipse IDE (either DIRECTLY or through PLUGINS,etc. ) ?
Also I even have Netbeans v6.7 setup, however I prefer Eclipse as it is less resource-hogging than Netbeans.
Thanx.

Thanks. Now I will surely try using Netbeans with Mobility Pack.

You are right the automatically generated code becomes complex to handle even in small apps.
Thanks.
