Autokey Hold Problem

Whenever you press a key then hold it, it automatically prints a series of repeating characters. I was just wondering how do you prevent that when using something like a textbox in vb.net? ^^

When the key event is pressed for that control check if the previous key is the same as the current key. If it is exit and cancel the event, if not allow the key event to process as normal and retain a copy of said key pressed.
