Compile of source files

Posted 19 September 2010 - 04:22 PM

Hi All,

Iam trying to install a module into opensim.The readme file to me makes no sense at all as iam very new to this. Could someone please take a look and explain the things i need todo step by step (in real basic terms)
Thank you

In this document we will describe the necessary steps to add OMEconomy Services,
i.e. OMCurrency or OMFacebook, to your grid.

In order to start we have to meet the following software requirements:
* OpenSimulator Version 0.6.9, 0.7.0, or 0.7.1
* NAnt Version > 0.85
This is needed to compile the sources.

To compile the sources, extract the OMEconomy files from the zip archive.
For the remainder of this document the directory that contains the file
"default.build" is referred to as OMEconomyRoot/.
* Pre-built OpenSimulator
If you use a pre-compiled OpenSimulator with version 0.6.9, 0.7.0,
or 0.7.1 from [1] you can compile the sources with a parameter
"openSimlatorVersion" with value {SIX_NINE, SEVEN_ZERO, SEVEN_ONE}.
For simulator version 0.7.0 this would yield in
user@OSServer:~/OMEconomyRoot$ nant -D:openSimulatorVersion=SEVEN_ZERO

Attached File(s)

Pardon, I'm not really sure where the confusion is. Since you are compiling C# source code, I assume you actually have the .NET Framework SDK or Mono SDK setup. As the instructions say, you need nant to build the program. So you should have set that up as well.

Then just invoke Nant, passing in information about the version of opensim to use, or the directory to your opensim compiled version. Can you tell me where exactly you get confused?

1. Install nant.
2. Run it.

The idea is that you open up a command prompt, change to the directory the contains the .build file, and then run nant from there. Nothing fancy. It's exactly like the directions say.
