Scrolling Nonfunctional

Posted 20 September 2010 - 06:59 PM

I have a website which I have created using only HTML and CSS. Unfortunately, the full background image does not show up unless I zoom out. To fix the probem, I was trying turn on the scroll bar. So far I have gotten the vertical scroll bar to show up by adding these five lines to my CSS:

body
{
     height: 100%;
     width: 100%;
}

As you can see on my website the scroll bar is there but it won't let me use it. I also tried the overflow thing and it didn't work either. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I fixed the code tags.

Are you sure it's on a remote host and not on a local.

I even tried pinging it:

I'm not really sure. All I did was point my domain to my server's static ip address and then copy everything to the wwwroot. I didn't do anything else.

Well. It's still not live this morning. Try pasting the code or throwing it up on a free site.

Ok, I got my site up now! I had to forward my domain to my router not to my local IP and then had to forward port 80 to my server.

Anyways, it's up and running and I'm still having trouble with the scroll bar. :sad3:

I't actually tiling for me...It's not so nice tiling. I'd center it on the screen and turn of image repeating so that people like me don't see the tiles.

I fixed the tiles. Unfortunately it looks good on my high resolution laptop but looks bad on my low resolution desktop. I'm currently looking up how I might can fix that. Any ideas on why my vertical scroll bar is showing up but doesn't let you use it?

I got the words fixed so now it looks the same on different resolutions. I'm still stuck on the scroll bar.

Just an update: I checked out my website in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and the scroll bar works great in all of them. The problem that I'm having is in IE.

Has anyone run into this before?

IE's a pain always for me. It has to always be different.
