Missing AC97 driver?

Hello everyone. I recently formatted an old PC. I don't have the original CD with the chipset drivers. I recovered everything except the original AC97. Many versions gave me the painful portcls.sys BSOD.

I searched everywhere, couldn't find the right one. If someone could help me, I'd be very, very grateful. Here's the Everest report:

Hmm, can you disable the on-board sound card and install a PCI sound blaster card?

Were you able to get the drivers straight from the manufacturer? Do all of the other drivers work? Did they all come from the same site?
Maybe the sound card is dead?
