I write everything in Python. I usually never finish most of my projects, but the latest ones are Rex and Befungee.

I write both, these days - Python's my primary language, I use it on top of the Django framework. I also drop into Perl for small sysadmin tasks as I need to.

I'm learning Python starting this weekend and I'm definitely going to invest much more in this beautiful language. I really like some of it's features and I'm sure I can learn quite a bit from it.

Feel free to add me to the list under newbie. :)

I have been programming Python since late 2009 and I am loving it! Python is my first programming language and I have also been using HTML for many years. Python is a great language in my opinion for a first programming language to learn and has really brought me into the world of programming.
So far I haven't written and finished many programs but so far my two best ones are; Note Manager - A simple text and *.enm file editor and creator (More of an experimental program), Syncher - A program to backup your USB to a selected file. This one if almost working at 100% and I might put it on the internet soon! and my best module is a simple script which can check for the last file number in a directory. e.g. If you make a file called File then make one called File1, when you run my module it will return the number 2 as in you don't have a file called File2(good for when you need to make lots of files without file names clashing).
If I can help with any of the Python questions, I will give it my best!
Happy programming!

I've written a few perl scripts before but wouldn't call myself a perl programmer unless I was trying to get a job using smoke and mirrors.

However, on the python side... I've dabbled at home over the last year and a couple of weeks ago I decided that my latest work project was going to be using python/django rather than php. The client is ok with this so long as the work gets done, and I'm so far very much enjoying it. I hope this will be the first of many such projects :)

Decided to start learning a new programming language and have sincerely enjoyed playing around with Python. I'm hoping by coding up some short snippets and submitting them here will act as an exercise to better myself in this regard.

Python is my second language. I may be an expert in Java, but I do all my algorithms in Python due to the ease that it has. In some ways, I am better at Python than Java! I love GUIs period. In any language. I have written a 5 part tutorial series on Tkinter in Python. right now, I am formally going through Core Python to reinforce everything, and after, I'm going to build a chat application.

Another project I'm going to look at is the Knight's Tour algorithm.

Greetings,

I am a Python lover, a PHP programmer, an SQL architect, and a Linux fanatic. I am the creator of PyLoris, and a maintainer for the SocksiPy module.

I have a blog which I constantly ignore, where I talk about Python, programming, and Dream.In.Code.

I absolutely love Python and I am always happy to help, both in the forums and privately. I also love interesting problems, so if you're looking for some assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
Motoma

I suppose I should say what I do.

I love using Python as a hobby language because of the super fast development that doesn't lose much in the way of power. I mainly use it at the moment for translating my thoughts into code, and then I use Python to either write the application or to port it to other languages. I am still learning Python, so I don't use it as much as other languages, but I certainly enjoy it!

I use Python on a daily basis for a variety of applications, mainly generating/modifying XML/CSV/Plain Text files.

It's just so fast and elegant to code with, wouldn't swap it for anything :D
