Tutorials for creating PHP Framework

Posted 27 September 2010 - 09:09 PM

I'm new to PHP and have read several tutorial sites but never gotten to do much hands on PHP aside from what I currently have http://www.neiu.123bemyhost.com

I need to create a PHP Framework for my software engineering class that is completely custom. I can't use wordpress, joomla or any cms. I've been unable to find any good tutorials that take you step by step through creating a PHP Framework that allows me to create an Admin type user account with certain permissions like posting articles. And then a user type account where users can search for articles posted by the admin.

As of right now my current system is hooked up with a MYSQL Database and is working but I've got no logic behind being able to create an admin account that can post articles etc.

I would presume the posting article portion comes into factor with a CMS system like TinyMCE but I'm lost on creating the framework.

Thanks for any help guys

I know the PHP 5 Bible had a step by step guide on creating your own weblog with admin support and all that. I'm sure if you search around here you may find some simple tutorials on it, perhaps not to the degree of complexity you need though. Check the PHP tutorials just to be sure.

Unfortunately I do not see any tutorial on dreamincode about a framework that allows for admin functionality and user functionality. And I also dont have the PHP5 Bible any additional help would be appreciated.

This is the best tutorial I've found on a php framework. Though you might have to incorporate the admin and user section on your own, Which isn't that hard.

Hope this Helps,
-Daniel
