That's precisely the reason why I haven't watched Brotherhood. I did manage to netflix the FMA movie but that's it.

@nexus: <3 I treat you bad because I love you.

On a side note, Death Note was definitely one of my favorites. I have the notebook in fact.

Anyone seen "Ninja Scroll"? There is this one crappy anime with the same name, but it's not the right one. You'll know when you find it.

Ninja Scroll was damned good. I really also like Miyazaki's (sp?) stuff. Anywho, I am a fan of: Sailor Moon (duh), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Rouroni Kenshin, DNAngel, Pita Ten (thanks to WolfCoder), and ... can't think of any more that pop out.

Fate/Stay Night was pretty good, and Black Lagoon was just awesome, and I highly recommend it.

Haven't seen anything lately, last one was Ookami Kakushi. Hard to find anything that good these days. Wagaya no Oinari Sama was great.

though sometimes he’s falling below his usual quality (Howl’s moving castle is … the book is way better)

Man, I thought it was just me. I was so excite to by able to see a Miyazaki in a theater. Then, meh. Also, his son's "Tales from Earthsea" was disappointing.

Ponyo was redeeming, though. It's target audience is about eight and it had the balls to stay there and not cater to the adults. It was refreshing.

Another director I love is Satoshi Kon. However, when his big thing to hit the US was Paprika, it kind of felt like he was phoning it in.

I'm trying to think of recent anime that was good... sad. "Darker Than Black" was better than expected. Starts out rather disjointed, but settles in and delivers overall. Though don't expect to every really know what the hell is going on. :P
