php-sql ROLLBACK TRANSACTION

hi

What is Rollback Transaction? how it works?As i have tried rollback.inserting a values from front-end to two different tables...but still my concept is not clear about rollback.I am attaching a files below.please guide me.

in a database Transaction you temporarly execute database actions (that may depend on each other), which are finally written to the DB on Commit or discarded on Rollback (e.g. if one of the actions failed).
