Chilean Miners

Posted 13 October 2010 - 05:47 PM

Hello
As we all know, 33 chilean miners were trapped 622 meters underground for two months (66 days).
Finnaly, yesturday a brakethrough happened. The first minner was brought to the surface in a capsule made by thhe chilean navy.
Now today 11:42am eastern standard time, the 32nd miner is on his way to the surface. I have been following this story that stopped a nation. I was so rejoiced.
Please tell me about your thoughts on the chilean miners.
Thanks Aaron1178

I have a feeling when they get to the 29th miner, he's going to look at the 30th miner and say "your not coming, are you?". The 30th miner will turn and look back at his mole wife, now pregnant with hybrid chilean mole baby (not to be confused with molé baby), and he'll say "This is my home now. I never fit in up there, but down here, I belong. So everytime you have a firm, solid bowel movement; think of the chilean capsule, think of me, think of my mole hybrid baby that will one day reach adulthood, climb back up the very shaft that saved your life, and systematically hunt down the remaining 29 miners. Vaya con dios, veinte y nueve. Vaya con dios."

I'll be the first to say it - meh. I caught this story in bits and pieces since the collapse in August and have no real attachment to the people involved. I am happy the outcome worked out, I am disappointed the experiment stopped, and I feel sad for the nine that died initially.

I wonder if they hit any mob spawn points and blocked them off with stone and dirt. If they got down far enough, and with an iron pick, they could have totally found some diamondand red dust.

i don't think any of them ASKED the wife and the mistress to be there. five different guys had their mistresses show up. why? because chile is gonna pay them for the shit they went thru, and the mistresses want a cut.

Well, if you consider how great they had it down there, in spite of the fact that they were burried underground in a mine and that it was hot as hell down there, then I think I'd be indifferent to being rescued. They had food sent to them every day, they had their laundry taken care of, they didn't have to work, they had a projector that projected a 50 inch screen on a cave wall so that they had some entertainment. If they could get me a high speed internet connection, a computer, and some games down there, I'd be happy to stay.

They were also breathing dust and who-knows-what else (which they did normally, but not non-stop 24-hours a day), they had to eat 2 spoonfuls of tuna and peaches a day for two weeks and drink their own urine for hydration for the first 6 days until help came from above, they dealt with crazy temperatures and the environment was a perfect breeding ground for health issues (I remember reading any pre-existing ailments had prime opportunities to act back up - like herpes or even chicken pox), and they all had the possibility of partially collapses lungs and possibly permanent psychological damage.

Other than that, yeah. Put a computer down there and it's be awesome.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

How fucking awesome would that be?! You'd have all the tools there to dig out the mine some more and start your own colony of mutant poop babies unless one of them was really a woman! It would be like some crazy queen bee hive or some shit.
