Hey there code wizards,
I have been asked by my boss how to read from a webpage, I have an electronics background and know nothing about networking so I am afraid I will have to have this simplified, sorry!
I have already found a c++ library urlmon.h which has a method downloadtofile() but my boss says that that is unsatisfactory as he doesn't want to download the file.
I have looked all over the web for the answer and found all sorts of complicated libraries like libcurl but I cannot get them to compile properly. Does anyone have a simple alternative for a novice socket programmer?
thanks very much
