I Can't Remember My Password

So it wont let me in, and I tried everything it could possibly be. MageUK set it up from what I remember, but I lost the sticky note with the password on it. Halp! Please don't tell me I have to reinstall...

Do you have any webpages/ sites that use the MySQL database? If so you can look at their config files to get login credentials.

No, it's not open I don't think, and I don't think I put a port in it. Actually, I tried hitting enter when it asks for a password, and it says 2017 can't open pipe. I googled that and tried altering the my.ini, but it wont let me save the changes. I have 5.1 if that makes any difference.

Depends on your level of access to the host. If you can SSH into the box and root, you can reset the thing. Also, on the box itself will usually be a root password stored for startup.

It's just a little server on my personal laptop. I tried to reset it, and even tried to change my my.ini file, but it wont work either way. I'm just gonna reinstall this weekend.
