A few weeks ago, I made a post about the Clojure Conj: http://www.dreaminco...r-clojure-conj/

Well, the Conj starts on Friday morning, so I leave Thursday night morning. I'm going to put out a few blog posts documenting my trip and my experiences at this conference. The first one can be found here: http://blog.acidrayne.net/?p=12 and crossposted on Hacker News: http://news.ycombina...item?id=1807555

I know there aren't many Clojure people 'round these parts, but I know I've gotten at least a few interested in it, so some of you might find this interesting or at least worth posting about. It's going to be a hell of a ride, and this is my way of taking you all with me.

I'm looking forward to reading about it! Maybe you can do a short re-cap with Core as part of the DIC podcast one week.

It's taken a while, but I've finally written up a brief post about my experiences: http://blog.acidrayne.net/?p=18

Sounds like you had a good time...other than that whole "getting sick" thing. That always sucks. :^:

Dude freakin BA! Not only did you get valuable experience and confirmed amazing contacts, but you rubbed shoulders with professionals before you could vote legally. Stuff like attending the clojure conj is does stick out in a resume even if your future employer isn't totally familiar with clojure. Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to increase knowledge/move out of your comfort zone/GROW/etc. Awesome.
