Transmeta sues Intel over chip patents

Transmeta is asking the court for damages, royalty payments, and an injunction barring Intel from selling infringing products. Intel's Pentium III, Pentium 4, Pentium M, Core and Core 2 processors violate the patents, TransmetIa claims.

If the injunction is passed, Intel will be legally forced to stop selling Pentium III, Pentium 4, Pentium M, Core and Core 2 Duo processors. Almost every single computer right now uses this processors including Apple

this is just stupid crybabies being crybabies.

PIII has been around for at least 8 years.. Don't tell me its now that they see that the processors violate their patent.

yeah i never understood the arguments that something was copied but it took 10 years to get a lawsuit together to fight it.

intel wont even send out its good lawyers for this one.

for christ's sake... i owned a P3 back in the day, my laptop currently is using one. I'm sure it'll get thrown out... either that or AMD will rule the world... one or the other :)
