hey,

how would i setup a database tables my issue is this:

i have one table with my questions in it and the other table will the users email address which will show the question ID from the questions table aswell as email so i can run a query

"don't show the same question they have seen next time they play"

i'll need a cookie to store this probably a server side cookie
any ideas on the query to structure it if i need functions etc??

A serverside cookie... i have never heard about that, i dont think hat is what you will want to use.

Those users, are they logged in in some way?
If so you can use their user id to build up a table of what user saw what question (and when)

If not then cookies might work, but client side (normal) cookies for sure.

cool thanks but yeh server side cookies are pretty much the same thing as client side but they are controlled by the server so users cannot turn them off etc...

I know coldfusion can store SESSION variables in memory and CLIENT variables in the registry that can both act sort of like cookies. I've never heard of anything called server side cookies, I'm not saying your wrong, I'd just be interested to know what language your using so I can compare and contrast how it works to what I'm familiar with.
