I always thought WoW was bad, and now it confirms it. Blizzard is TOO good at designing games.

so sad these people have no life... The most i've ever spent gaming was like 3hr...
If you cannot control yourself to this kind of extend then maybe you deserve to be a lonely looser who plays WOW 12hr/day 7days/week

I have a friend, World of Warcraft has taken over his life.
He didnt go to college, doesn't have a job, barely graduated High School...
He plays that game all day every day. No life, and no plans to get one.

Hey guys
I have to say that i'm with Kram on this one, to those people that is their lifes and if they want to quit on school and work thats their problem...
I think in a way the online gaming community have something great going for themself because it brings people from all over the world together and relate with one another... basically just like Dream.In.Code

Here's the deal, Nizja, it replaces real life. My roomate was addicted to the game (Pushing 8-10 hours a day). He lost his job beacuse of it, never hung out, etc. The game becomes all too personal.
Utltimately, it is the person's fault that is addicted to it, so I'm not going to blame blizzard. But it is really screwing up people's lives.

games with endings are much much better. You pick up a good RPG (read: Final Fantasy) and lock yourself away for a week. When you emerge, you've actually beaten the game, and can reccomend it to other people. And the big selling point for me: there's no one else but you (read: no 12 year olds)

My friend just got WoW and today he stayed home from school to play it.

yes... and why blame the game if people's self control is so poor they don't even know what they truly need. it's a fucking video game. and if someone wants to stay home for the rest of their life playing it, more power to them

Games are addictive and I play some 2-3 hours a day if I dont go out with friends...
I love games but there nothing better to go watch local bands, drink beer and chill with friends.
One of my old friends was ranked in the top 10 in SA for W3 and he goes only to lans and plays online...The only time we ever see him is when he wants us to come chill(LAN) at his place.
Me and the guys at work play quake 3 online after work and its very relaxing but i think people start living a fantasy life in games because they can be heros in the game and people can admire them when they see here comes a lvl 60 sloth with a packet of reeses in his hands.
Anyways its sad to see your friends changing like that but life goes on....

if you have been or are currently addicted to a video game, just shoot yourself in the face.
one of the lamest things. ever.
at least be addicted to something worthwhile, like porn or cocaine. video games? what a crock.
i played a 2 hour game of starcraft once,
ONCE. stupid people make me want to kill stupid people.

Lost and found your self on the junk yard...
You had to have life before such addiction.....to this staff...
gaming = when not controlled = when life is wasted = = junk yard of
hell
Life first.......

I appreciate gaming, and when I'm at home, which is very far away from everything, I try to game with my friends. I usually play something like 1-2 hours a day when I can, but my clan understands that sometimes, I've got more important things to do.
I'm not obese, i have a generous social life, and I'm getting good grades at school, so I figure that gaming is really not a problem for me.
