Autodesk recently have started offering free three year licenses to students with a valid student e-mail address, e.g: .edu, .ac.uk and so on..
You can download all of their products including 3DS Max, Maya, Mudbox, AutoCAD etc.
It is well worth a look, even if you just want to try out 3D graphics. They also provide in depth tutorials for you to learn how to use their software and make rewarding animations and models!

Enjoy this fantastic resource for students, Hopefully companies like Adobe will soon follow the trend of free student software.
