What kind of problems are you having with Eclipse? What have you used before that worked well for you?

You are welcome to take advantage of the DIC Java Tutorials Section, as well as the Java Snippets section. Though you won't be able to get away with simply copy/pasting from all the snippets to make a game.

As for the IDE, if Eclipse confuses or frustrates you, switch to a simpler IDE. There are a ton out there.

well its not that its frustrating me its that its coding just codes, and the problem is that I don't understand them their not strait forward you have to understand them first them use them its not like anybody can use them and our professor doesn't explain it to us he just gives us an assignment and an example code and expect us to to the rest on our own.

so I just need to understand how their formed or how do anybody understands them so I can.

thank you

The DIC tutorials explain syntax and concepts very well. I highly recommend checking them out. :)
