:helpsmilie: i have installed wampserver successfully in my machine problem is that i don't know how to make php execute.Please what is the first step to get php to say even A hallow world message

Have you tried:
http://localhost/yourfilename.php
When the server is running and you have a php file in its root directory?

?>

then copy this file to which directory?

is it c:.....\wamp\www or which directory do you mean pliz

http://localhost/yourfilename.php is how you will view the files on your webserver to test for local host being up, running, & answering php file requests.

What guide are you using the install wamp? There should be a clearly noted root directory in the notes.

i have just browsed through a tutorial about wamp server and i'm told to replace the file index.php with mine is this the right way?
