I have started to make themes for money, the themes are coming along very well. But what I don't get is how to create all the lovely background pictures and headers, like blue spirals and stuff, I have tried in Photoshop 7, Paint shop pro 7 and something called snagit and ther closest i got was the one i attatched, can anyone help me, thanks...

if you have photoshop thats what your gonna want to use,
i cant tell you how to make something because i have no idea what you are talking about,
to learn the program your gonna have to play around with it and take some tutorials,
you can view the dream.in.code tutorials by following the link at the top of the page or go to the resources section and check out for more photoshop/graphic-design related articles.

if you want to be succesful you need to be creative, look up some photoshop tutorials on making simple designs, they will give you a start. PS is your best friend when it comes to making images, sometimes you do things you didn't know you could, and suddenly you get a result you didn't know you wanted.

If you are getting paid, then you should be able to afford some photoshop tutorial and resource books.
