Create a DVD from AVI files

Posted 11 December 2010 - 10:10 AM

I'm looking for a free way on Windows 7 to put AVI files onto a DVD (for a TV DVD player) preferably with the option to add a menu and change the video/audio bitrates. Googling has only led me to adverts for paid products. Since I only need it for one use I don't want to pay for it. I know that some DVD players can decode AVI but I'd prefer that the DVD can be played anywhere. Thanks.

Since you are running Windows 7 you have a program that comes with it called Windows DVD Maker. I have used it quite a few times to create DVD's from AVI files. It is very user friendly and allows you to customize the menu and other features of the DVD, with the added bonus of being totally free.
