How is the judging system going to work?

Do we submit puzzles that we did and hope for the best?

There are minimal instructions on facebook, but I found this website much more useful when submitting puzzles. I don't know the full extent of how they judge your program.

http://www.davideisenstat.com/fbpfaq/ (First section helps with submissions).

What's the point of these puzzles? Do you win something if you submit all the correct solutions, because it doesn't seem to me that they are just for fun as the submission rules are pretty strict and it says, "prior incorrect or malformed submissions will not be counted against you," meaning they are keeping some type of score?

Anyone participating in the qualification round? I tried the double squares problem, but my program ran longer than the six minute limit. I'll be trying out the other problems today.

Sorry to necro an old thread, but I remembered creating this for the last Hacker Cup so the subject and content are the same.

Anybody participating this year? I've only had the time to get one problem done, which i'll go ahead and share after the qualification round is over. Auction is the only real interesting problem in my opinion, spent a few minutes on it but need to set aside a few more if I decide to submit for it. The problems are supposed to get much tougher as the rounds go on.

Did any one from DIC make it through any of the rounds last year?
