in how many stages a software undergo for production for customer! do this apply for all types of software project let say making a game, operating system, programming language, application software!
btw i have just started my career in programming and sometime feel low motivated and confuse(mean where to start and end) any suggestion!

It depends on your model and methodology for development. Waterfall? Agile?

Basically you iterate and dwell on your application until:
1. Testing is over.
2. All the bugs are gone.
3. All the clients original specs are met.
4. Client acceptance testing passes.
