New Year's Eve FoodFest

Posted 31 December 2010 - 04:37 PM

What's everyone having for their last meal of 2010? *cue dramatic music*

In addition to showing off my awesome cooking skills, I also got to use my Dream.In.Code flip camera [yay Chris!]. Two birds dead. One stone. Go me.

Enjoy:

That steak looks delicious. It definitely makes my choice of going out and getting some filet mignon tonight sound even better.

As I rubbed the meat yesterday, I knew that the honey would make or break this meal.

Jameson w/ ginger ale was a pretty good accompaniment.

Ribs and mac & cheese as lovingly prepared by the deli across the street and recooked in my filthy microwave. It will be soon followed by 50 cents of Little Debbie deliciousness.

Immediately following consumption, I will be snagging my bottles of Kahlua and Captain and heading out to celebrate the new year with real, live people for the first time in 8 years. I'm all sorts of excited!

Last meal as of now would be chicken soup. Probably shortly into the night it will end up being taco bell or jack in the box depending on how hammered I end up getting, but currently im drinking down a bottle of "select rum" (&6.98) and coke... Soon to be hitting the bars, Woohoo!

Looks great! Your voice sounds nothing like I expected! Weird how that happens.

Now, some of the close-ups of the steak made me think of my ex. :P

Me, I ate a BUNCH of bad (in the nutritional sense) food at my friend's party...

lasagna
sausages with peppers and onions
diablo wings (I brought these from a local BBQ joint...very spicy, yet tasty...they sneak up on you)
chocolate pizza
turkey

I feel like warmed-over ass this morning, even with the preemptive Pepto-Bismol before bed.

Great looking steak there, I am envious of your culinary skills :-).

We went to my mothers for dinner, she had a bunch of family over. The spread was buffet-style and had allot of things that were bad for you, meat balls, ham, chicken wings, things of that nature. There were also some home made and store bought desserts. It was nice.

This is the first New Years that I haven't gotten drunk since I was like 16, I just didn't feel like doing much this year, been under the weather this week. It was still nice though, I turned in right after midnight.

I thought you would sound MORE Southern, that's the thing! You didn't sound bad, just different :)

You don't sound NEARLY as southern in the video as you did in the podcast.
