[New TeamMate]Open Studio Project Reopened

Posted 31 December 2010 - 07:15 PM

Hi All!

I read posts about people wanting the Open Studio project being opened again. Well, I am here to the rescue. Since I have no other applications to work on, I have decided to start working on Open Studio.

I will be designing the IDE and implementing .NET languages, such as the main ones, VB.NET, C#, and C++. Other languages will be plug-ins that people can install.

Now, I will be able to work on the main project, but I will need team mates. I will need people to help make Open Studio.

So, people you can post here if you want to help me with the project. I am fine working by myself, but help is appreciated.

I will be showing proof of reopening of the project soon.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

I have been working on it, and I was able to make C# work in Open Studio. Here are some screenshots:\

So far, these are the following features:

  • There is a sample Start Page(70%)

  • A way to make stand-alones of your projects

  • A way to change the Class name(For example, Program.Project)

  • An error list at the bottom of the IDE

There are no other features yet, but once I add the other main features, I will be releasing alpha 0.1 and see what people think of it.

@AmryKid
I hope this is good enough proof to reopen the project.

Edit: I have just added a few more languages so far. Here are the current ones:

  • C#

  • HTML

  • PHP

  • Javascript

  • CSS

Well, you may have given us the kickstart we needed. Although we were at a stand still because I wanted to do it WPF and X@MPP wanted it in WinForms like the original.

I think we can pull it off since we are much better programmers than we were but.. I don't know.

EDIT: X@MPP and I have agreed to discuss this on IRC, your welcome to join us at ##XAMPP on freenode. (Note there is two '##', not one '#').
