Answers - "Teach Yourself the C# Language in 21 Days"

Posted 05 January 2011 - 03:55 AM

Im new to C# and I got the book called "Teach Yourself the C# Language in 21 Days"
without the cd supplement. At the end of each chapter there's a workshop section
with quizes and excercises but the answers for them are on the cd.
Can anyone provide these answers?

They don't seem to have an official site for examples, I'll keep on searching.

Official site with source files:
http://www.teachyour...urce/source.asp

But I need the answers for the quizes. The book says they are provided on the CD.

I'll search some more, if I find anything, I'll post here and it may be a bit late but I can recommend "Murach's C# 2010" if you are an absolute beginner, more over all the related code and more is supplied at website.

Perhaps you should contact the seller about the fact that the CD was not included?

Agreed. Unless the auction specifically stated the that book did not include the CD then you can lodge a complaint with eBay that the item was not as described/incomplete.

You might also check the local library for that book. I know it is old fashioned, but the library system is still functioning. Most states have inter-city book exchanges so if your local city branch doesn't have it they might be able to get it from another town.

I just donated that book, along with about 25 others to the local high school robotics team. I just didn't have the room or weight allowance for them all in my RV.

Aside from the laughable title "...in 21 days" (Listen, in 21 days, you'll only be able to reliably tell the difference between a C# program and a hole in the ground), how about applying the somewhat archaic notion of "trying the exercises for yourself".

Learning isn't just about recognising the right answer when you see it. It's about how you navigate the dense forests of confusion along the way. This you can't learn from reading about it, it has to be experienced to understand it.

Because if you lack that particular skill, the first assignment which you come across which does NOT have an easy answer for you to download (say, your JOB), you're going to be S-O-L, and up the creek without a paddle.

The journey is longer than you think
