voice to text - speech recognition

Hello!
I want to create voice to text software,which will recognize a language,which based on cyrilic.
How can i do this? Im beginer in VB,
by the help of tutorials of this site, I did this kind of software which converts voice to text ,but only latin (English language).
Should i create another engine or module for speech recognition.
From what should i start?

If you have already created one, albeit for English language, I would suggest that you're probably in a better position than most to answer your own question. If you have a speech module/engine for dealing with the language translation, then maybe it's something you could modify to recognise Cyrillic or create a new one dedicated to that.

I haven't worked on voice to text but am keen on finding more. How much role does hardware play in this?
