Why wont this work in IE?

Posted 16 January 2011 - 07:48 AM

<p style= "margin-left: 47%;"><input type="submit" id="ptypesavebtn" name="save" value="<?php echo JundText::_('Sign Up Now!');?>"/></p>

When I set the margin-left it is meant to center a button Im showing.. (text-align: center) doesnt do what i want. So I use margin-left but it only works in firefox, chrome, etc. not in internet explorer.
Any Ideas?

maybe use padding-left:1 100px; Though this is more of a CSS and HTML question.
