Site not rendering correctly in ie7

Posted 19 January 2011 - 09:37 AM

I am working on a website, but i can't get it to render correctly in ie7 (nor ie8+compatibility mode)

I can't find what's causing problem. The css validates, exept from the border-radius stuff.

does anyone have any idea?

www.runestroobants.be (the site is in dutch, but the problem is obvious (the train wagons are aligned to the right)

Well, it works fine on IE8 apart from not having curved edges, -moz-border-radius only works for Firefox. As for IE7, I suggest you use conditional comments to load up a specific css for IE7.

<!--[if IE 7]>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ie7style.css" />
<![endif]-->

Edit - Added conditional comments example.

border-radius works in Firefox, webkit browsers, and Opera.

What m-e-g-a-z posted will help with IE7, I also think that I've used one for IE8 before. I can't test in either browsers for I have IE9, which the border-radius does perform correctly. :)

My websites usually look fine on IE8, its IE7 thats a b*tch sometimes. The OP's site looks fine in IE8 so I suggest they do some CSS fiddling to get it working on IE7. :)

IE9's Developer tools allow you to change the browser mode and the document standard from IE9 to either IE8 or IE7, Very useful [Hit F12 when in IE9]. Also, Border-radius works in IE9 too /cheer!
