I feel that the old Tutorial Suggestions thread has become somewhat overgrown and has stopped being used, so I'm going to start a new one. We can do this periodically after these threads reach a few pages so that people don't feel that their requests are falling on deaf ears.
In this thread, please post your requests for new C# tutorials. If someone asks for one that already exists, please reply with a link to the existing tutorial.
If you decide to accept the challenge of creating a tutorial, please let us know you're doing it, and then again once it's been approved, and add a link. I'll keep a list of our asked and answered tutorials at the top.
Thanks!

And the first request to the new thread: A LINQ to SQL / Entity Framework overview. I'd love to do this myself, but I'm a little pressed for time these days. So if anybody wants to step up to the plate and do this, feel free.

Is this thread no longer pertinent? I see the latest post was in February, but my request is the same as the second post in this thread. The Linq to SQL Framework overview. Was this ever completed?

We haven't had many requests lately, but it's still relevant. I've actually done a primer on LINQ to SQL:
http://www.dreaminco...-to-sql-primer/
Note that many things are similar in Entity Framework, and that's where future development is being done, so you may want to focus your efforts there.

Just a thought that might get a little more action on this thread...
Maybe it should be pinned to the C# tutorials instead of here in a different area.
After all, if I were a rookie who looked through the tutorials (which in itself would make me rare) and didn't see what I was looking for I wouldn't instinctively look elsewhere for the request list.

Guess what, darkingdoom? You'll never find tutorials on those things here because we do not support spamming nor cheating on games.

I would like to see a tabcontrol tutorial; complete with tab image/color adjusting without it changing the page itself. Maybe a functional login in system that opens up new tabs. I have search google and msdn but noting really very interesting/good that could help.
The reason why I ask: I want to build a program for work that does multipule task ie... Repairs, Maintenance, Daily Reports and such. I want to use tabs like the Microsoft security essentials design. I believe this will be the most appropiate and light-weight, don't want a totally bulky program.
I am new to application programming and have found it to be interesting, most of my experience is in the web department. I considered a web idea, however, this maybe a issue with our data. I have been thru several C# tutorials here at D.I.C and recently purchased some books to self teach (Beginning C# Object-Oriented Programming, Dan Clark and Stephens' C# Programming with Visual Studio 2010 24-Hour Trainer).
