Hasn't he taken leave on numerous occasions due to his health problems?

Besides, I am sure most of what goes on in Apple now is not directly to do with Steve Jobs anyway!

He had a new liver, from his genetic clone, installed a year or so ago.

It's not an issue if he is or is not connected with what is going - it's the perception of the fanbois and stock trader confidence with out the ol' Captain behind the wheel.
