IP Location new in CF?

Can someone point me in the right direction? I seem to be running in circles with my research.

I am trying to determine the country of my visitor's IP. I don't need all of the data provided in a service like http://www.ip2location.com/. I just need the country. Is there a database I can check against that gets updated?

Welcome to D.I.C.

You could work with the links provided on this site. Maybe pull the data down and form your own table you can reference. Otherwise you're looking for an API.

A quick search on Google brought up this site http://www.hostip.info/use.html. Not sure if it is any good or not, but you can try it.

Scott,

I've used this services for sometime now with no problems My link. You have to register for a free key but if you scroll almost to the bottom of the page you'll see an example of a Coldfusion implementation.
