how to run c/c++ programming using eclipse

i need to run a simple c program using eclipse ide .i have downloaded the eclipse and tried to run a sample program .but iam not able to do it.plz send me the details procedure

There are about 10 versions of eclipse. Did you download this one?

If that's the one you downloaded then you have the correct one. However, I believe there is a bug in the terminal display that causes either input to fail or output. I can't remember which.

Personally I think eclipse really screwed up the latest C++ release. If you have used eclipse before and like it then use it.

if i am not mistaken i believe Eclipse is for Java only.

i may be wrong but i have not herd of anyone compiling c in Eclipse.

There is a plugin that you have to install, Eclipse CDT, for C/C++ development in Eclipse.
