past 2 elements under each other with css (firefox works / IE not)

How can I drop my 'filter' element jusr under the above element?

In firefox works it fine, but in IE, it shows ahite space between the 2 elemebts?

div.filter {
    height: auto !important
    margin: 0 0 0 0;
    padding: 0 O O O;
    text-align: left;
    color: #fff;
    font-weight: bold;
    background: #4682B4;
}

Have you tried using a CSS reset stylesheet?

I could be wrong (I don't create website for <IE7) but maybe is a default margin on divs that you have to override?

Also, if you can post your code on JSFiddle.net so we can see what's up more clearly.
