Web site opens to Index instead of Optin page

My website will not open properly. I originally set the site up to open with a optin page. The site opens showing as Index.

I'm not much on web development, but since I've started trying to learn recently, let me give this a quick shot. It is my impression that you usually have the have a file such as index.html or index.php in the root directory. This is the file that the browser recognizes as the front page when it goes to your site.

Are you missing this file?

Indeed - Brewer is correct. In most standard web-server installations, the server will first look for a file named "index" within the specified/default directory if no file is specifically requested.

How did you set up your site to do this? Did you do so through code, or did you perhaps change a setting on your server? Changes to your server typically won't take effect until you restart the server process.
