I just wanted to post a quick reminder to the XNA community that Dream.Build.Play 2011 will be starting near the end of this month. Maybe we should think about creating a DIC team to throw something together and submit it. It could be a lot of fun.

And at this point it's still really early, so I believe we could really throw together something impressive to show. Could drive more traffic to DIC as well.

I think the submissions are usually due around the end of April/beginning of May, but I could be wrong. Anyone else know for sure?

So we have from now till roughly May?
Also, is there like any temporary free membership to the developers thingy ma bob for the duration of the comp?

I've never attempted to enter before, so I'm not sure about any requirements on memberships. Maybe somebody else has more information on this?

Might be a little late on this but Microsoft gives you a 12-month trial membership for deploying games to your Xbox. It isn't the full blown membership so about all you can do is set up the connection to the Xbox and deploy/debug your game. It's more than enough to get your game up and running though.

The finalists have been announced!
A very popular theme this year appears to be platform games.
I'd like to hear from you guys on which of these finalists do you think should win the grand prize and why. My personal favorite of the 21 finalists would be Ninja Rising just because of the dark feel of the game. Great ninja platforming action! There are a couple of games on the list that I was unable to find any information on.
