Can we convert grayscale bitmap to 1 bit bitmap....?

Hi all,

I have searched a lot to find a code that to convert a gray scale bitmap to 1 bit bitmap... Let me know if there any possible ways in c++ to make such a convertion....?

Do you want to dither the grey values, or just use a 50% cutoff?
