well i have done much to extend the usefulness of the dll for all my applications, they all will run on the dll when i am done, which is good because they cann get rather large other wise..

I have been looking into several ideas for useing xml instead of ini or hard coding the tables into the dll... This would expand the usefulness of the dll exponentially.

I think i will have a production ready version in a few more months, as other things have taken a bit of my attention( not all bad) from working on this project.

Oh and i am working on use of the .res as well as an alternitive version. you will see :D

Any way heres to all that goodness!

Well the other way than using the .res was to spell out the strings in a class and then have the class change the items... It seems to work, But i still have to get controls that tolerate the Unicode text and symbols... I have read that microsoft has a control compatibility toolkit that allows you to use .net controls in a com environment... That may be a nice way to implement the software to my vs2010 express...

Any way still working on it :) shouldn't be too long now.

To look at how to use .Net assemblies in a COM environment, have a look at regasm.exe. The .res files are good, because you don't have to change the code to change the data.

grrrr... Leave it to Microsoft, The only help i was able to find wasn't really any help at all,

It was talking about registering the assemblies in the registry, I really dont have the desire to start messing with that yet, i thought it would be relativity simple. Its really not, All i wanted was the controls for use with Unicode chars that com objects dont accept.

Is that the only way to do it or is there one that is a bit safer??

This looks interesting: http://msdn.microsof...v=vs.85%29.aspx . You "send a message" by using the SendMessage API call. Have you used that yet?

Nope... Mostly the only Unicode text i have had serious issues with is punctuation marks, they dont display correctly on controls, i figure that symbol chars may have issues as well...

The send message api i haven't dealt with it directly, just in modules i am using that i found somewhere else...i need to learn the api calls so that i can start using them to help make my applications better...

You can start with a couple of simple ones like Sleep, LockWindowUpdate and so on. SendMessage is a major one, used in many, many ways. This looks pretty good: http://allapi.mental...tor/dlls1.shtml
