How about a all new SQLite tutorial!!

that could transfer data like name & number while also being able to connect or relate a note like meeting @ eight a.m. displayed

transferable from windows 8 to sky drive to windows phone 8?

did the update go thru even to be able to do this yet?

would be a great start on working with sqlite

We do have one:

http://www.dreaminco...izing-the-data/

It's not in the format of the Learning C# Series, but it's an excellent tutorial, with good discussion in the comments.

I'm happy to announce an addition to our Learning C# Series by tlhIn`toq focused on transitioning to WPF:

WPF for the WinForms Coder NEW!

I've added these links to the first post as well.

As always, please let me know if you're interested in contributing to the Learning C# series, or wish to add more topics.

Has anyone taken on System.Reflection?

If not I think I can at least start it.

Currently I'm working on a project to show off this single statement beauty:

this.cbLstPositions.Items.AddRange(
    Array.ConvertAll<FieldInfo, Position>(typeof(Position).GetFields(BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Static),
        delegate(FieldInfo info) { return info.GetValue(null) as Position; }
    )
);

Here I'm using the FieldInfo class to grab things marked public and static and then coverting that using a delagate to create instances. Viola! A dynamic way to grab all fields of a class that are a self-creation item.

Sure, you can do the Reflection tutorial. Remember to use the template provided in the first post. Thanks!

Awesome. Just an fyi, it will take a good while. I'm really bad at the grammer thing. :)

Also, I'm still trying to set a half decent home environment (it hasn't been a priority for a few years now...).

I've added a tutorial for Collections - In Depth.

I'm afraid it doesn't follow the template to the letter. I welcome any additions, edits, corrections or comments. I wrote it essentially for myself quite a while ago, so it is open to critical appraisal :)

I added the following note at the top of my tutorial:

Quote

This is not a hold-my-hand tutorial so I recommend that you go through the Basic Collections tutorial linked above first.

Do you think this is necessary given that the title includes "In Depth"? I don't want to scare people from reading it who might benefit. Perhaps you can suggest a more diplomatic phrase?

I think it actually benefits it. It makes it sound like there is some actual detail in the tutorial rather than the usual collections tutorials you get on the web that cover List<> and perhaps Dictionary<> but thats about it.

If people don't want to learn the full story then that's their loss.
