It's cool, I think it would be cool if only "Bit" was in that old school font.

I'm an avid Illustrator and Photoshop user. I don't know if you use anywhere from CS3 and on, but I'd suggest create a vector in Illustrator and import it and mess around with it in Photoshop, so that the logo is not just text. I might also suggest extending the width of the font to fit the company name "TrueBitMedia".

Try to play with colors more. don't stick to blue for the whole thing.
Also, you should mix the fonts together for a better result.
Here is a quick draft I made, I hope you get my point

I tend to disagree here. Multiple colors are not necessary. 1-2 is perfect, especially if you're going to be printing anything with it in the near future. I think the initial concept is good. You might consider moving the "Developing the Future" one pixel to the left to align the D with the left edge of the trunk of the T in your name. You might also want to play with the font of Media as well. I agree with staycrisp, but I think TrueBit should both be in the 8bit font. I'd try both though, see which you like better.

Well it's a personal decision but my past clients all loved to have 3 colors, generally 2 light and 1 dark color.. I used to work with 2 colors and most of them would reply "boring" or "not eye catchy enough"... :dozingoff:

EarthShaker I really don't like that :s 2 colours is definitely enough. Maybe 3 would work as well but black doesn't work in this logo with the other colours, why did you choose it? :)

@Stayscript, I think black kinda matches with blue. Most of designers go for dark colors when using blue:

Anyway, it was just a draft which i made in like 2 minutes without using much creativity.. You're right if you don't like it.

Then again you have to remember that clients are clients for a reason, they hired you for your design expertise. Sometimes you have to remind them of that.

Regardless, 1-2 colors is what you need to aim for. Using multiple fonts is a bad thing. 1 font in a logo is ideal, 2 is pushing it, anything above and you might as well put comic sans in there as well.

Logo design takes hours to complete, including sketching, layouts, drafts, and multiple reviews by the client. It's not a 5 minute job that costs 50$. The lowest price I've taken for a logo design was 200$ and that was a 12 hour job for a non-profit/religious organization.

Logo design is crucial to the success of any business. If people see a crappy logo or one that was made in a few hours they can tell. This will also lead them to draw possible unnecessary inferences about your business.

I'm a strong believer that if you're not a professional designer you should never design your own logos and that you need to hire a real pro. Owning design software does not count.

As per the original post I can't see the logo.
